Ideal for both men and women, this beautiful, textural wide brim hat is a modern spin on the classic tan straw hat. Completely unique and handwoven by weavers in Bolgatanga, Ghana, the hat is crafted from Elephant Grass for a lightweight, yet strong and durable finish.
Bolga basket and hat weaving is a quintessential Ghanaian craft typical of the northern Bolgatanga region. This age-old tradition has been passed down through generations, and I'm told has changed very little over the years.
The hat is hand-dyed individually, therefore no two pieces are exactly alike. Subtle imperfections are to be expected due to natural variations and the weaving process.
Available in small, medium and large.
